CAVE system built with ApertusVR
Our CAVE has aged a lot since its first run. Besides that, it could not handle 6 display devices (2 projectors/walls) with the same 60 FPS and same synchronicity.
So we decided to update our configuration and successfully replaced old Nvidia Quadro cards and old Sync board with 2x Quadro P4000 + Quadro Sync2 board. As Frank Pudlowsky from Nvidia (Mosaic Technology expert) suggested, we used a single rendering thread on our 6-screen Mosaic display set. The performance is amazing, check our videos about a supercharger 3D model which has more 10 million polygons.
